The sidelight gives a nice feeling of depth to the trees. I like the inclusion of the bicycle as an item that clues the viewer in to the immense size of these trees. Very well done.

Thank you, Klaus. We are having a summer of high contrast and lots of shadows — I find them difficult to photograph — I’m glad it worked okay here.

Don, I had never considered the bike as an aid to size perspective. Thank you for that insight. I seriously wonder whether I should ride my own when I’m shooting, then I’ll always have it handy.
